Around 2,500 families have lived with the first version of Ato. They woke up with it, argued with it, taught it their names, and told us plainly what it got wrong. That is the part no lab gives you. Every one of those homes is in the device we are building now.
The new Ato is 100% designed. The hardware is updated, and every change traces back to something a real family ran into: what people reached for first, what they never used, what they asked for twice. Nothing on it is there because it looked good on a render.
This is a production device. It is not a beta, and it is not a prototype we are still arguing about. The hardware is finished, and we do not expect to change another part of it. A small batch already running in real homes says the same thing. From here almost everything we send you is software, which means your Ato keeps getting better while it sits on the same shelf and you do nothing at all.
That is what this moment is. The first version reached thousands of families. This one is built to reach millions, and it is finally ready for that. The pre-order is the last step before it happens, and we are not running it to find out whether anybody wants an Ato. We know. We want every person who wants one to get one, and this is how we share the day we got here.
One thing needs you, and only one. A few days before your Ato is ready to leave our hands, we will write to you for your shipping address. Shipping, and any customs duties your country charges, are paid at that point, not now and not at checkout. Please watch for those messages and answer them. We cannot send your device until you do.
